Taman Ujung is a object tourism in water place theme. Taman ujung located in Tumbu village, Karangasem regency. Taman Ujung was built by the last King of Karangasem, I Gusti Ngurah Jelantik or Anglurah known as Anak Agung Ketut Karangasem in 1919.Taman Ujung is beautiful place. From here, we can see Gunung Agung (the highest mountain in Bali) and the beach of Ujung.
Taman Ujung form a complex blend of architecture building Netherlands (Europe) to Bali. So it looks very unique. At the end of the garden there are 3 large pools and each pool there is a building that has a specific function. Such as Taman Gili which serves as the resting place of the King. Also used as a place where served royal guests.
In the park there are several statuest like Warak and Bull. Where the water came out of the statue to the pool. Under these statues, there is a temple called Pura Manikan.
In 1963, due to the great eruption(Gunung Agung) and the 1976 earthquake Seririt, Taman Ujung was damage. But with help of funding from the World Bank, in 2000 Taman Ujung was renovated and now as on of favorite tourist spot in Karangasem.
